The sources said this did not go down well with Dhalia, resulting in his exit. The alleged scandal had been exposed by Youth Congress president and AICC secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, who in a memorandum submitted to Governor A R Kidwai had tried to prove that Chautala was involved in an effort to defraud the public exchequer of more than Rs 125 crore by seeking to hand over land to DLF at much below the market price.
